Parking:
The Charles Allis Art Museum does not have their own parking lot. Public lots, street parking, and public transportation will be your best bets for finding a spot or getting to the Allis.
The Allis obtained a special event parking permit to reserve street parking on the south and east sides of the Allis (on Royall Place between Prospect Avenue and Farwell Avenue and on the west side of Prospect by the Allis). Help us keep these spaces available for speakers, attendees with disabilities, or pregnant attendees! With limited parking, we need your help to ensure that those attendees have easy access to the Allis. If you have a disability or are pregnant and find a parking spot in the special event parking area, park your car and enter the Allis to obtain a parking pass. You’ll need to hang the parking pass in your front window. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation!
Attendees able to park further from the Allis, please look for parking at the following locations:
Street Parking
- Available on Farwell, Prospect, and the cross streets including Bradford Avenue, Brady Street, and further west on Royall.
Paid Parking Lots and Parking Spots
- Parking lots near Prospect Commons located at 2383 N Maryland Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53211
- Check out SpotHero for other available reserved parking spots nearby
Public Transportation
- The Allis is within a 10-minute walk of The Hop’s Burns Common’s Stop. Park your car or walk to the Hop and take the M-Line to Burns Commons, which is a couple of blocks south of the Allis between Farwell and Prospect.
- Several Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) bus routes serve the area, including the 30 (HF) Sherman – Wisconsin, which has a stop within one block of the Allis. Use the MCTS website or app to plan your route.
