Description:

Join us for an inspiring evening with three women who know how to blend style, confidence, and intention—both personally and professionally. From thrifting and vintage curation to building standout brands!

  • Meaghan Bertram, owner of Refresh Vintage, offers perspective from the vintage retail world, where clothing, accessories, and curated finds help people express who they are (with a lighter footprint).
  • Jessica Brittingham, owner of Spruced57, brings a thoughtful, style-forward perspective rooted in sustainability, connection, and individuality.
  • Jackie Droese, founder of Thrift Like a Girl, brings her signature mix of thrifty, funny, and fabulous—sharing what she’s learned from pop-ups, styling, and creating a bold personal brand.

Bonus: Limited Style Swap

If you want to participate in the closing swap, here’s how it’ll work. In order to participate, you’ll need to bring at 5-10 items to share.

  • Item limit –Bring a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 items. Quality over quantity is key!
  • Condition check –Only clean and wearable items, with minimal mending accepted. Please don’t bring anything with stains, holes, broken zippers, smells, or pet hair. Bring the things you’d like to pass on to a friend.
  • What to bring – Bring items in the following categories only: shoes, accessories, bags, hats, jewelry, sweaters, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and jackets. No home décor items, this time.
  • Set up – We will not have private try-on rooms. So, dress accordingly and please bring a reusable bag to take your treasures home.
  • First come, first served – Whoever finds it first, keeps it.
  • Leftovers will be donated. If anything you bring isn’t scooped up by the end of the night, take it home or we’ll donate it.

Come to listen, learn, connect—and maybe leave with a “new-to-you” favorite piece.

How it Works: 5:15-5:45: Guests arrive, drop off swap items, grab a snack, and mingle.
Tickets are FREE and include light snacks and beverages but registration required.
Stephanie Melnick will begin the Q&A at 5:45

Parking: Street parking (free after 6) available or park in Chase Tower parking garage for $7 (525 N Water Street) and take skywalk on 2nd Floor to Chase Tower

Meaghan Bertram is a seasoned entrepreneur and fashion stylist. With over 12 years of experience in corporate retail, she founded Refresh Vintage in 2019 to pursue her desire of having her own store. As a stylist, her passion lies in helping women feel confident and empowered to go after their dreams. Meaghan has been featured in numerous media outlets and publications for her vintage boutique Refresh Vintage located on Milwaukee’ s Lower East Side.

Jess Brittingham is the owner of Spruced57, a thoughtfully curated boutique in Milwaukee’s Washington Heights neighborhood, where she has spent the past seven years bringing together unique contemporary and vintage fashion. Prior to opening Spruced57, she co-owned U-Turn Consignment Boutique in Wauwatosa for nine years, and before entering the retail world, worked as a Speech Pathologist for 13 years. That background deeply informs her approach today, as she focuses on connection, individuality, sustainable fibers, quality brands, and helping customers move away from fast fashion while discovering pieces that reflect their authentic personal style.

Jackie Droese is the founder of Thrift Like a Girl, a brand born from her lifelong love of fashion, vintage finds, and coloring outside the lines. After studying Communications and Media Studies at UW–La Crosse and working in commercial production at a local news station, Jackie turned her passion for thrifting into a business—building Thrift Like a Girl alongside a full-time career through content creation, in-person markets, and live online shows. Today, she works in promotions marketing for a nationally recognized media company while continuing to champion sustainable fashion by keeping vintage pieces alive and helping people style what they already own in creative, confidence-building ways.
