Angela Lang was born and raised in the heart of Milwaukee. She has an extensive background in community organizing. In the past, Angela served as both an organizer and State Council Director for the Service Employees International Union, working on such campaigns as the Fight for 15. Before founding BLOC, Angela was the Political Director with For Our Future Wisconsin. She is a graduate of Emerge Wisconsin. She currently is the Vice President of the ACLU of Wisconsin Board and sits on the board for Diverse and Resilient, a non profit organization that supports the LGBTQ community in Wisconsin.

Kate Duffy is the founder of Motherhood for Good—a Wisconsin-based organization focused on building out the political power of moms. She creates approachable content about news and elections on Instagram that’s meant to resonate with—and be shared by—typically politically disengaged women. She and her team also work with local businesses, campaigns, and community leaders around the state to host social events and days of action, all to build out a coalition of women across this critical swing state and offer an on-ramp for busy moms to find purpose in political action.

How it Works: Arrive between 5:30-6 to enjoy snacks, drinks, and mingling. Stephanie Melnick will begin the Q&A at 6.
