About
As Executive Director of Imagine MKE, Christine Hojnacki leads Greater Milwaukee’s only nonprofit dedicated to advocating, advancing, and promoting the region’s arts and culture sector and ensuring it remains central to our city’s identity, economy, and future.
She brings a wealth of senior management, marketing, and fundraising experience to Imagine MKE, which she joined in late 2024. Previously, she served as Chief Development Officer for the United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) and as Vice President, Workplace and Company Giving. This followed a lengthy career with The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. where Christine was both a corporate Vice President and President of the retailer’s Foundation.
Having worked closely with Milwaukee’s arts, corporate, and civic leaders for nearly two decades, Christine has a keen understanding of the mutual needs and interests of the region’s cultural, corporate, and donor communities. This perspective is critical to Imagine MKE’s efforts to elevate and reinforce the vital role arts and culture plays in the region’s growth and success — from economics and employment to health and wellbeing.
With positivity and passion, Christine approaches all her endeavors with energy and enthusiasm. Early in her career, The Milwaukee Business Journal named Christine to its annual Women of Influence awards list for her support of the community. When she’s not enjoying the area’s broad selection of arts and culture experiences, you’ll find Christine outdoors on bike trails and local lakes.
