Melissa Buchholz owns Odd Duck, a much-lauded Milwaukee restaurant serving an ever-changing globally inspired small plate and shareable menu featuring local ingredients with something for everyone. Odd Duck is located in Milwaukee’s Historic Walker’s Point neighborhood, moving there in 2022 after a decade in business at it’s original location in Bay View. Melissa is a restaurant industry veteran who also owned the now shuttered vegetarian restaurant Hello Falafel and a private event business called Little Duck Kitchen & Catering. Outside of restaurants she is passionate about voting rights & advocacy, native plant gardening, weird art projects, collecting small objects, reading, travel, and hiking with her dog, Sailor Baby.
