About Staci Lopez
From a young age I always loved going out to eat and being introduced to different cultures through food. Coming from New York, a true melting pot, I was able to be adventurous close to home. I decided to go to culinary school in 2010 which really cemented a future in the restaurant industry. Living in California for a few years where there was a year round abundance of produce was a great way to see, taste, feel and learn about a swath of new ingredients in a short amount of time. From there I went back home to help my partner open a new restaurant. I began to segue into other facets of the business aspiring to become more versatile in my knowledge and really build a strong foundation in all areas of the business. My partner being from the Midwest is what brought us to Milwaukee in search of the dream to own and operate our own establishment.
While we both secured positions working for other people, we solidified a few potential concepts that we had hoped to embark upon. Finding the right location and home for our top concept brought us to National Avenue where we opened Allie Boy’s Bagelry & Luncheonette. Starting a new small business right after the pandemic shut everything down presented its own challenges on top of those we were experiencing with just starting from scratch for ourselves. It has been a wild, tough, exhilarating journey and we are so fortunate that we are still here welcoming guests to National Avenue as well as our second location, opened in 2024, on Farwell Avenue.
