About Teresa Olson

Teresa Olson, the owner of Olson House on Oakland Avenue. I am an Interior Designer, idealist, music & animal-lover who values supportive community and a sustainable lifestyle. I opened Olson House because I wanted to create something true to my values of social and environmental responsibility, while offering a source for timeless Nordic & local home decor, gifts, interior design services & more. I am an atmospheric designer, dreamer, animal-lover and proud Scandinavian who values supportive community and a sustainable lifestyle. Olson House is an homage to my Nordic heritage, blending the experiences gained from working as the interior designer with an architecture firm & at other design roles, while also working almost 2 decades at a record store, with an innate desire to make the world a more beautiful place.

As a small business owner, I believe it’s my responsibility & mission to give back to the local community and to support education, the environment & women’s empowerment. With the help of partnerships, collaborations and the hard-working team at Olson House, I strive to reflect these values in the products and services we provide, and through charitable support when we are able.
