About Val Lucks
Valeri Lucks is the co-founder, co-owner and Chief Executive Pie Officer of PIE Inc. restaurant group in Milwaukee, WI (Honeypie, Comet, SmallPie, Palomino, Buttercup) and Chicago, IL (Beard & Belly, Honeypie Bakeshop). Founded in 2005, PIE Inc began with one small café featuring from-scratch, Midwestern-inspired dishes & handmade pies. It has since grown to a company with multiple beloved neighborhood restaurants. Valeri has a B.S. in Psychology from Northwestern University, 20+ years of leadership and operations experience in the hospitality industry and over 30 years of pie making practice. Valeri’s restaurants, recipes and pies have been featured in Food and Wine, Travel and Leisure, Time Out USA, Eater, Milwaukee Magazine, Wisconsin Public Radio, on the Food Network and many more.
